Brookgold Plum Tree - Zone 2 - Sweet and Juicy Freestone Plum
Brookgold plum is a deliciously sweet freestone plum for fresh eating. Hardy to zone 2 with yellow flesh and a delicate golden exterior.
This free stone plum is on average about 2.5 to 3 centimetres in diameter. It has tender skin of a brilliant almost translucent golden hue and juicy yellow flesh. Flavour is very sweet and ideal for fresh eating, relatively good for canning. The fruit are mature in mid-August.
Brookgold is quite vigorous and hardy to zone 2.
Brookgold variety was developed at the Alberta Department of Agriculture and Forestry’s Crop Diversification Center South in Brooks, Alberta. It was first introduced in 1979.
